The man is the leader. This word is
the significant example of the world of stereotype. Guys should be for
everything his lover wants, and if not, you are bad! I think everyone has his
or her own identity and do everything in his or her way. But most people look
the world like it has many exact rules that existed since the earth was born. The
man is stronger than woman so the man must lead, if you are behind you are a
bad guy. So Yingluck should go to the kitchen and cook for her family and Aung
San Su Kyi should go back to look after her children better, anything wrong?
Why the wide sight did not be put in our
eyes? Discourses (Thai: vadakram) that created by many powers, such as traditional
leaders, religion, media, and everyone that can let his or her thought to the
public, are the most effective factor to our way of thought. If an actor who
love his mom so much tell us through the TV program that the nice guy should
love mom and it impress many people in the society, loving mom will become the
good attitude of that society. And in the same way, the soap opera that the
leading actor take care of his wife in everything she want, the responsibility
of the man that should do for another sex, especially the wife, will come to
the position that every man should be there. Moreover, Stereotype can be
considered as violence. It hurt many people on earth and will do more and more.
I think we cannot destroy the thick
wall like stereotype easily. It was absorbed deeply in everyone thought. In the
other hand, we do not want someone to affect us with stereotype so we have to
learn to open our heart for different thinking and accept it to appear in our
society. The third gender is another fine instance for fighting against the world
of stereotype and can change the thought in the world to have better sight on
them. If all of stereotype issue can be adjust in the better way, our world
could be a happier world.
